This is part 2 of my post regarding VPN Tunnel between two Organization Networks within the same organization. lets see what we will cover in “part 2” .
LAB-57 TASKS (Part 2)
In this Lab, we will perform following tasks
- Configure VPN On “SkyNet Dev Org Routed Network”
- Configure VPN On “SKynet Prod Org Routed Network”
- Test the vApp Communication after VPN Configuration
1-Configure VPN on SkyNet Dev OrgRouted Network
Navigate to Organization “SkyNet”-> Administration-> Virtual Datacenters -> SkyNet-Dev-OrgVDC-> Org VDC Networks.
Right Click on Network “SkyNet-Dev-OrgRouted” ->Choose “Configure Services”.
Go to “VPN” tab-> Click “Add”
Choose Name “SkyNet Dev-> SkyNet Prod”. In Establish VPN TO “a Network in this organization” Select your “Local Network” and “Peer Network” -> Click “OK”
Verify your added VPN Rule, it should look like as shown below. Make sure “Enable VPN” Check box is checked-> Click “OK”
2-Configure VPN on SkyNet Prod OrgRouted Network
Navigate to Organization “SkyNet”-> Administration-> Virtual Datacenters -> SkyNet-Prod-OrgVDC-> Org VDC Networks.
Right Click on Network “SkyNet-Prod-OrgRouted” ->Choose “Configure Services”.
In “SkyNet-Prod-Edge” VPN rules has automatically populated, we just do only one setting check the “Enable VPN” check box -> Click “OK”
Now if you go back to “SkyNet-Dev-Edge” VPN Section you will notice now Status sign in turn into green
Similarly go back to “SkyNet-Prod-Edge” VPN Section you will notice his Status sign is also turn into green
3-Test the vApp Communication after VPN Configuration
Go to “vApp8-VM1” and open the console and provide the login credentials. once login, because, its linux machine. use “ipconfig” to check its IP address which is “192.168.16.100”
If you ping the “vApp10-Web1” VM IP “192.168.22.100”. you should get the reply from there.
