vRA-Lab-17-Publish a Blueprint

Publish a Blueprint

Blueprints are saved in the draft state and must be manually published before they appear as catalog items.

You need to publish a blueprint only once. Any changes you make to a published blueprint are automatically reflected in the catalog.

Log in to the vRealize Automation console as a “Tenants administrator” or business group manager. In my case, I have created one already in my Active Directory with name “vmexpo-tadmin@vmexpo.local” and gave permission to configure tenants during “create new tenants” process. Enter the “credentials” and click “Login”

1-Select Infrastructure > Blueprints > Choose “Blueprints”.

Here you can see all the available blueprints.  As you can see below, I have only one and it’s not publish yet. let’s publish it.

2-Point to the blueprint to publish and click “Publish” from the drop-down menu.

Click “OK”.

Your blueprint is now a catalog item.

Use the same procedure to create other blueprint and publish it. Here you can see I have create two more blueprints and publish it for my lab.
